It is a special time of year. My earliest childhood memories center around Christmas celebrations with my large Ukrainian family, often over 45 relatives gathered together on Christmas Eve. We observe the traditional Sviata Vecheria, or Holy Supper, a festive meal featuring 12 meatless dishes that symbolize the 12 apostles. Served after the first star appears, the meal includes symbolic foods such as kutia (sweet grain pudding), borscht or mushroom soup, varenyky (dumplings), fish, sauerkraut, and various vegetables. This meaningful tradition begins with a prayer and the sharing of kolach, a special bread, reflecting themes of hope, prosperity, and remembrance.

I’m a lifelong resident of Northern Virginia, fortunate to have lots of extended family nearby. Today, I live in the area with my wife and our identical twin daughters. In my free time, I love traveling, spending time with my family, and being out on the water. I’m an active member of the community and have coached football and girls basketball.

Before becoming a State Farm agent, I spent 11 years working in technology during the dotcom bubble. I knew I wanted to create a career that would allow me to serve others while also owning my own business. Insurance gave me the perfect balance: the opportunity to help people during some of life’s most challenging moments while also guiding them to plan confidently for the future.
